چکیده

Abstract— We consider a multi-user multiple input multiple output (MIMO) Gaussian broadcast channel (BC), where the transmitter and receivers have multiple antennas. Since the MIMO broadcast channel is in general a non-degraded broadcast channel, its capacity region remains an unsolved problem. In this paper, we establish a duality between what is termed the “dirty paper” achievable region (the Caire-Shamai achievable region) for the MIMO broadcast channel and the capacity region of the MIMO multiple-access channel (MAC), which is easy to compute. Using this duality, we greatly reduce the computational complexity required for obtaining the dirty paper achievable region for the MIMO BC. The duality also enables us to translate previously known results for the MIMO MAC to the MIMO BC. We also show that the dirty paper achievable region achieves the sum-rate capacity of the MIMO BC by establishing that the maximum sum rate of this region equals an upper-bound on the sum rate of the MIMO BC.

On the Capacity Formula for Multiple Input–Multiple Output Wireless Channels: A Geometric Interpretation

The capacity of multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) wireless channels is computed for Ricean channels. The novelty is a geometrical (ray-tracing) interpretation of the MIMO channel capacity formula to find array geometries which greatly enhance channel capacity compared to single input–single output (SISO) systems.

Cognitive Radio MIMO Gaussian Broadcast Channels with the Power Constraint

The cognitive radio multiple-input multiple-output Gaussian broadcast channels are studied where multiple antennas are available for both primary users and secondary users in a spectrum sharing environment, and the sum-rate capacity is also obtained under both the SUs’ transmit power constraint and interference power constraint at the primary receivers. The paper principally consists of two ste...

Fundamental Capacity of MIMO Channels

We provide an overview of the extensive recent results on the Shannon capacity of single-user and multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels. Although enormous capacity gains have been predicted for such channels, these predictions are based on somewhat unrealistic assumptions about the underlying time-varying channel model and how well it can be tracked at the receiver as well as...

Identification of Multiple Input-multiple Output Non-linear System Cement Rotary Kiln using Stochastic Gradient-based Rough-neural Network

Because of the existing interactions among the variables of a multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) nonlinear system, its identification is a difficult task, particularly in the presence of uncertainties. Cement rotary kiln (CRK) is a MIMO nonlinear system in the cement factory with a complicated mechanism and uncertain disturbances. The identification of CRK is very important for different pur...
